We had a great first day in Mrs. Miller's Kindergarten class. We learned all of our friends names. We have 10 kids in our class; 6 boys and 4 girls.
We drew a picture of ourselves. We talked about the amount of body parts we should have (2 eyes, 2 arms, 2 legs, etc.). We sang a silly song called Tooty Ta. We knew this song from preschool but Mrs. Miller has a Hip Hop version of it. We had a lot of fun using our bodies to move. We learned how in Kindergarten we need to take our time and color. We made a chart that shows us the right way to color. Then we colored a picture.
We played a game called: Can you find? We had to listen for a shape word and find that shape in our classroom with our magnify glasses. We sorted shapes onto a dinosaur.
We made a crown to celebrate our first day in Kindergarten. We had rest time and snack.
We learned the rules of the classroom and of the school and took a tour of the building.
