Middle sounds, snow and popcorn

We have been learning about CVC words and we have learned about vowels. One of our favorite songs is Vowel bats. Today Mrs. Miller thought of a word and two of us held the beginning letter and ending letter. Then another child came up and Mrs. Miller whispered the word to  us. We had to pick the vowel sound we heard and put it in the middle. Then we read the word.
Mrs. Miller read the book, There was an old lady who swallowed some snow. We talked about what happened and if we should do that. We also talked about snow. Then we made snowmen. We worked on our fine motor skills by ripping the paper and cutting the paper to make our snowman.
Today is National Popcorn day so we had some popcorn. We also earned the popcorn by filling up Mr. Potato. We earn his pieces by getting compliments in the hallway. Way to go Mrs. Miller's class!
