Polar Express day

Kindergarten had a fun filled day. We had a PJ party and Polar Express party. Mrs. Jennings class could not find their elf, Chippy this morning. But Mrs. Miller's class noticed that there were two elves in their classroom. When Mrs. Jennings class came over to Mrs. Miller's to watch Polar Express they said that was their elf with Charlie Brown.
We watched Polar Express. While watching the movie, we had some popcorn. Then we decorated some Christmas tree cookies. Mrs. Miller's husband made the cookies for us; boy are they big. We put green frosting on and put different kinds and colors of sprinkles on. Then we had hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows along with our cookies. Later on, we made person that looks like us in pjs. We had to cut, tear, glue and draw to assembly our person. We also had to follow directions.
This was a GREAT DAY!

December

We have been busy! We have learned about 3D shapes and how they move. We have learned about a line of symmetry. We have been working on identifying the ending sound in a word. We finished Unit 3 in Reading and took our test.
We have been learning about Holidays around the World and have made lots of projects to go with this unit. We made reindeer. This project was open ended. We had many different looking reindeer. We made snowman for our parents. We hope you liked them.
We are also learning about giving to others. So we are called the R.A.C.K class. R.A.C.K stands for Random Acts of Christmas Kindness. We have made bookmarks and put them in the library for others to have. We have colored pictures and given them to other classes. We have colored pictures for restaurants around time. We have also drawn Mr. Burke a picture and written him a letter.
