Easter Party
Today we made our Easter Bunny bags, we turned ourselves into bunnies with our headbands we made, and we used our CVCe eggs. We also did a peep science experiment. First we used our five senses to explore a sour watermelon peep. Oh my, did they taste sour and different from a regular peep. We then put regular peeps into different kinds of liquids to see what would happen. First we predicted what we thought would happen and then watched the peep. We left them in the liquid for a few hours to see if we saw a change in them.
Peep Science
Oil - Prediction: It would get wet.

It would drown.
What happened: It floated.
It was covered in oil.
Water - Prediction: It would get wet.
It would melt.
It would explode.
It would float.
The sugar might fall off.
What happened: It floated.
The sugar came off.
The water changed colors.
Sierra Mist - Prediction: It would get wet.
It would melt.
It would dissolve.
It will turn green.
It would explode.
Pieces will fall off.
What happened: It floated.
The water turned pink.
It was mushy.
Vinegar - Prediction: It would get wet.
It would melt.
It would dissolve.
The sugar will come off.
It would explode.
It would drown.
It would float.
What happened: The water turned pink/red.
The sugar came off.
It was sinking alittle bit.
Vinegar and Baking soda: Prediction: It would get wet.
The sugar would come off.
It would explode.
It would float.
The vinegar would turn pink.
What happened: The vinegar changed colors.
The sugar came off.
How did it feel: squishy, sticky, felt weird, smelled yucky, felt like playdoh
