Kansas Day

                                                                   Kansas Day

Today is Kansas Day. Kansas Day is the day Kansas became a state; so it's our state's birthday. We learned about our state bird, reptile, amphibian, tree, flower and song. We did a directed drawing of our state reptile: the ornate box turtle. They are really good.
Then we made our state insect: the honeybee. We used hearts to make our honeybee because it is almost Valentine's day.
