We drew turkeys. They were directed drawings of a turkey. Mrs. Miller showed us step by step what to do and then we drew it. We then traced over the pencil lines with a black marker to make it pop out. Then we colored our turkeys. Later that day we finished writing the poem to go with the turkey. It had some sight words in the poem so we were able to write them ourselves. Mrs. Miller laminated them so that they would last a long time.
